Job Overview
TC Glass is a Glazing and Building Envelope Contractor based in Montana and serving Montana and the surrounding states. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Panel Installer to join our construction team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of panels and related components on commercial construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, proficiency with hand and power tools, and experience reading blueprints and schematics. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, contributing to high-quality commercial building outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Measure, cut, and prepare exterior panels to proper size and shape when needed, using materials as efficiently as possible
  • Install exterior panels on building façades, ensuring alignment, level, plumb, and secure fastening
  • Prepare installation areas by clearing debris and setting up scaffolding, lifts, or other equipment
  • Inspect finished installations for alignment, gaps, and defects
  • Conduct routine quality checks to ensure work complies with safety and building codes and TC Glass NACC Quality Manual
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation
  • Assist with maintenance and repairs of installed panel systems when needed
  • Troubleshoot issues related to installation or performance of exterior panels
  • Transport and manage materials to ensure proper storage and handling to avoid damage
  • Obtain direction and information from the Panel Superintendent and Project Manager
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and fabrication machinery safely and efficiently
  • Coordinate with project managers to ensure timely completion of installation phases
  • Ensure work sites are clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations at all times

Qualifications

  • Maintain a valid driver's license
  • Proven experience in construction site work with skills in blueprint reading and schematics interpretation
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and fabrication techniques
  • Knowledge of various construction disciplines including carpentry (frame carpentry, door hanging), masonry, roofing, plastering, welding, flooring installation, tile laying, glass installation, fixture installation, and concrete finishing
  • Ability to read technical drawings such as schematics and blueprints accurately
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
